Notes from Nina fuller, district NMI President
Nazarene Missions International is the promotional, educational, program and fund-raising arm of Nazarene missions. It is the organizational representative of missions for the Church of the Nazarene on the regional, district and local levels. The organization provides the structure and spiritual dynamic for mobilizing the church in mission, keeping mission interest and thrust alive in the church.
The four objectives of NMI are:
- To encourage people to pray for all efforts of world evangelization.
- To inform people of the world's needs and what the church is doing to meet those needs.
- To challenge children and youth to learn about and participate in the mission of the church.
- To raise funds for mission outreach.
The Alabama South District is actively involved in all of the objectives of NMI. I am grateful to pastors and local presidents for your support of Nazarene missions.
In my first year as your district NMI president, I depend on your prayers, participation and involvement to help us reach all our goals. I would like to see us pay World Evangelism Fund 100% during the 2008-2009 year. I believe each church will do their best. I am counting on you and God is too!

MILLION HOURS OF PRAYER
NMI along with the General Board is asking Nazarenes everywhere to be in prayer for the General Conventions and General Assembly to be held in Orlando, Florida, June 24-July 3. We hope you will join in this concert of prayer, asking God's wisdom and guidance in all of these meetings and decisions that will be made.
GENERAL NMI CONVENTION: June 24-26, 2009, Orlando, Florida. This will be a great gathering of Nazarenes from around the globe. Plan to attend and enjoy the blessings! More information at: www.nazarene.org
CHILDREN'S MISSION RALLY

CHILDREN'S PROJECT 2009-2010
The children will be raising funds for a Pastors JESUS Film Work & Witness trip. Please check the packet you received at district NMI Convention for more information.
WORK & WITNESS TRIP
NOVEMBER 1-11, 2009
We will be going to Panama to help with construction of the Samaria Church. The cost, including airfare, food, lodging, insurance, exit fees and transportation while in Panama is approximately $1100.
