marriages and children.

10:30 - 10:45 The Fallout of Sexual Failure on Marriages, Spouses and
Young People
A look at the real impact that sexual immorality has on our families and
ministries, especially our children.
10:45 - Noon Break-out
session: Marshall Duke - Denominational Coordinator, Men's Ministries. This
brief presentation will include an overview of Nazarene Adult Ministries,
including a look at the newest: The Nazarene Motorcycle Fellowship!

12:45 - 1:45 Prevention of Sexual Failure and Restoration
There are specific steps husbands and wives can take to prevent or seek
restoration from sexual failure in their marriages, especially in the pastorate.
1:45 - 2:00 Break
2:00 - 3:00 God's Celebration of Marriage
We will look specifically at some of the biblical teaching about marriage and
sexuality and the celebration of God's gift.

MTR Speakers - Dr. Jim & Jeanette Pettitt
Theme: Renewing Relationships and Marriages
Dr. Jim Pettitt and Jeanette Downs Pettitt
Dr. Jim Pettitt and Jeanette Downs Pettitt reside in Olathe, KS. Jim is currently Coordinator of Family and Men's Ministries for the International Church of the Nazarene and adjunct professor of psychology at Johnson County Community College. Jeanette is Director of the Career Center at MidAmerica Nazarene University, and teaches in the MNU adult degree completion program. Before taking his present responsibility, Jim taught courses for Pastoral Care and Counseling at Nazarene Theological Seminary, was director of the Christian Counseling Center of Wichita, and pastored Nazarene churches in Texas and Kansas for seventeen years. He speaks at men's retreats and family seminars. Jeanette has taught English at the high school level and at Olivet Nazarene University, and has been a professional counselor for many years in the Kansas City area. She has spoken for women's ministry retreats, business seminars and inspirational gatherings throughout the U.S.
They maintain a part-time marriage and family counseling practice together in Olathe, and travel across the country doing district and local Marriage Enrichment seminars and retreats. When they married in 1995, they blended together two families with Jim's two daughters and Jeanette's two sons. Today, three of the four grown children are married, and they have two granddaughters and one grandson.
